About Borujerd Region
Borujerd is a beautiful city and area
in the West of of Iran. Located in Zagros Mountains Borujerd
Township belongs to Lorestan Province. Borujerd is surrounded with
the townships of Nahavand and Malayer (Hamedan Province), Sarband of
Arak (Markazi Province) and Dorud, Khorram Abad and Aleshtar in
Lorestan Province. Borujerd City is the main town. Oshtorinan and
Vennayi are other ones. Borujerd Area has a Mediterranean climate
with rain in spring and fall and snow in winter. The area is mostly
located in the fertile plain of Silakhor and it is famous for good
agriculture.

Borujerd City
Borujerd City is the administrative
and historical centre of Borujerd district. Located on foots of the
Zagros Mountains, Borujerd City is mostly distributed on the
Silakhor Plain alluviums and is one of the oldest cities of Iran.
The city has a big traditional Bazaar and is a business centre for
Persian carpet, rural products and crafts. Borujerd has been
important for its strategic location. The area is a crossroad
between the Central and Western as well as South Western Iran.
Borujerd City is located on the transit road of Tehran Khuzestan
and Kermanshah Esfehan and is connected to other major cities such
as Esfehan, Tehran, Qom, Arak, Khorram Abad and Ahwaz through
several highways.
